One-to-one training

Picture the person who keeps the books at a twelve-employee farm machinery dealership in Konya. Invoices, payroll paperwork and the bank are her job; lately, because no one else is around, so are the Microsoft 365 logins, the service department's shared folder, the workshop Wi-Fi and the backups. Nobody ever explained any of it, and she is nervous she might break something. A classroom course is of little use to her, because its examples come from other people's offices. She needs someone to sit beside her virtually, look at her actual systems through a shared screen, say what each setting does and let her make the changes herself. That is what we mean by one-to-one training. The same format works for IT leads wanting deeper knowledge, for employees inheriting systems from a departed colleague, and for private individuals who want to master their home setup or retrain for a job in IT. Every session is held by video call with screen sharing; Apply does not make home or office visits.

What the work covers in practice

We pick topics according to who you are and what is waiting on your desk, not from a syllabus. These are the people who most often come to us and what we usually tackle together.

Agree the scope with the engineer who will do the work

The accidental IT person

Bookkeeper, office manager or co-founder: adding and removing users in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, shared mailboxes, handing out licences and re-enrolling two-step verification for someone with a new phone without locking them out. Listing the passwords and contracts left behind by the previous IT person belongs here too.

New laptop day, lost phone day

Using Intune and Entra ID to bring a fresh laptop up with company settings straight out of the box, and to lock and wipe a company phone left on the back seat of a taxi.

Restore rehearsal

Reading about where backups live is not enough: you bring back a deleted file and then a whole folder, from the NAS and from the cloud, with your own hands. In the same session you learn where to see whether last night's job succeeded.

Router, Wi-Fi and cameras

The admin page of the router your internet provider supplied, separating a guest network, and why remote access to a camera recorder should never rely on opening a port.

Everyday habits against fraud

Keeping an eye on USOM notices, switching to a password manager, extra verification in e-Devlet and banking apps, and spotting fake courier and debt collection messages.

Home and family

Getting to grips with your home network, backing up the photos on your phone so they cannot vanish, hardening your parents' phones against scammers, and resetting an old device safely before you sell it.

Switching careers into IT

A realistic starting route, building a practice lab with virtual machines on your own computer, and working through the kind of hands-on tasks that come up in first job interviews.

How we approach the job, from first call to handover

Sessions run for at least an hour, typically once or twice a week. Businesses pay €55 per hour plus VAT; private clients pay €45 per hour incl. VAT, or from €35 incl. VAT for a one-off remote support session.

01

A three-sentence note

In the form you tell us who you are, which systems you use and what you must sort out this month. We prepare the first session around that note.

02

Starting with a real job

The first hour is spent on an actual pending task rather than theory: a new starter's account, a broken printer share, a full disk. You share the screen and make the changes; we call a halt before any step that cannot be undone.

03

Recap and extend

Each later session opens with a quick recap of the previous task, then moves on to the next item. Anything risky is tried on a test account beforehand.

04

Your own guide

At the close of every session you write the new task down in your own words, one step at a time, and we review it. Between sessions you can drop us an email wherever you get stuck.

What you are shown fades; what you write down yourself stays. That is why each session ends with a short recipe for the new task, in your own words. After a few weeks you hold an IT handbook that belongs to your company and is genuinely used. When you go on leave, whoever covers for you does not start from nothing; this is the least talked-about and longest-lasting benefit of one-to-one training.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, people like you are exactly who one-to-one training is for. Jargon is explained with examples from your own work and you set the pace. Before any real setting is changed, we check together that a recent backup exists.

Short questions can go by email. If it turns into actual troubleshooting, that is handled as a separate remote support session and charged apart from training time.

It is useful for the practical side, since everything happens in a live environment. The exam itself is booked with the vendor or an authorised exam provider. Apply awards no certificates of any kind and is not an education provider approved by the Ministry of National Education.

Up front through a payment link, by credit or debit card: €45 per hour incl. VAT, or a remote support session from €35 incl. VAT. We send a receipt or invoice if you ask for one.

Of course; you can record on your own computer. If other people's data shows on your screen, close those windows first, and you decide where the recording is kept.

Book one-to-one training

Give us a line or two on who wants to learn and what they should be able to do unaided later on. We come back with a suggested date for the first session.
