Area 15 · Data, AI and consulting

IT consulting and audit

Picture a carpet exporter in Gaziantep with forty staff. Its books live in Logo Tiger, production planning sits in a handful of spreadsheets and export orders arrive through a separate web panel. The owners decide it is time for a single ERP. Three vendors run demos and the quotes land somewhere between €18,000 and €57,000, each apparently promising the same outcome. Nobody has had time to check which one includes data migration, user training or the first year of maintenance, so the choice tends to go to whoever gave the most polished presentation. Closing that gap is our job. Without ties to any vendor, we put numbers on what should change in your IT, how much longer the current setup can carry you and what each step is likely to cost. Every engagement is run remotely.

When an outside view pays for itself

Most requests for advice begin in one of six situations. They share a pattern: a large sum or a hard deadline is involved, and neutral facts are scarce.

Quotes that cannot be compared

We break each one into identical line items. User licences, extra modules, data transfer, staff training and twelve months of support are bundled in one proposal and tucked into a footnote as extras in another. Laid side by side, the cheapest bid frequently turns out to be the dearest.

The one person who ran IT is leaving

An inventory comes first. Whose name are the domains registered in? Where are the admin passwords kept? Were licences bought by the company or by an individual? Do backups actually restore? Whatever lived only in one head gets written down, so whoever takes over is not left guessing.

A major buyer sent a security questionnaire

We help you reply with evidence. A European car maker or a supermarket chain may ask a supplier to document multi-factor sign-in, backup routines, an incident response plan and KVKK compliance. Where something is missing, we add a dated remediation plan to the reply.

Your in-house system issues invoices

We gauge the gap to the rules. The link to your e-invoice provider for e-Fatura and e-Arşiv, e-İrsaliye, record retention under the tax procedure law, export to the accounting package: what already works, what is missing and what closing the gap costs. Tax interpretation stays with your mali müşavir; we clarify the technical side.

Acquisition, a new partner or an investor

We look at the technology changing hands. Proprietary software, the true state of licensing, accumulated technical debt and people nobody could replace move the price just as much as the financial statements. Knowing this before negotiations start gives you leverage.

An ERP change is on the agenda

Requirements come first, product second. Logo, Mikro, Netsis, SAP Business One, Business Central or Odoo: a company that knows which processes and integrations are non-negotiable before the first demo rarely pays for the same system twice. Our list also contains the questions worth asking during each demo.

Much of a report's value lies in what it tells you to leave alone. A hundred pages that recommend everything and rank nothing usually mean the author avoided taking a position. Our report starts with one page for the managing director, lists decisions in order of cost and explicitly names the areas we advise you not to touch yet, with reasons. Technical detail goes into the appendices. The owner can read the summary in half an hour on a Friday evening; the IT lead can start on the appendices first thing on Monday.

From first call to finished report

Nobody travels and nobody visits your premises. The work runs on video meetings, remote access limited to viewing and documents in a shared folder. Duration and budget are written into the proposal before anything begins.

01

Agreeing the scope

A forty-five minute video call to understand the decision at stake, who makes it and which date is putting on the pressure.

02

A written proposal

What we will examine, whom we will interview, the access we need, a delivery date and a price. Should the scope grow, we tell you before a single extra hour is billed.

03

Remote analysis

Conversations with the owners and with staff who use the systems daily, going through agreements and configuration, testing the software itself. Anything urgent is reported straight away rather than saved for the final document.

04

Report and closing meeting

Findings, recommended decisions and figures in one document, then a session where the leadership team talks it through with us. Follow-up questions about the findings are handled in that session.

Frequently asked questions

Rarely, because the aim is to clarify a decision rather than to assign blame. We talk to your provider and record their view in the report. Problems usually trace back to a setting nobody has owned for years, not to a person. You are welcome to invite them to the closing meeting as well.

A strategy engagement needs almost none: conversations, contracts and an export of your licence list. An architecture review needs view-only users on the code repository, the hosting console and the logs. You set those up yourselves and can switch them off whenever you like. An administrator password sent by email is something we will never request.

Yes, as far as the technical and organisational work goes. We look at what the Turkish Cybersecurity Law, sector regulators or a large customer might expect of you, show where the gaps are and suggest measures such as a risk analysis, an incident response plan, supplier security checks and proper logging. We follow ISO 27001 principles but do not issue certificates, and the final legal reading belongs to your lawyer.

No. We do not resell hardware or licences and take no commission from vendors or dealers. The only thing you pay for is advisory time. That is why a recommendation can honestly read: keep what you have and fix two things. Saying so costs us nothing.

The needs analysis and budget table may help your own preparation if a support programme is on your mind. Apply is not an adviser authorised by any of these bodies, does not prepare application files and cannot say whether funding will be granted. Please check programme rules and eligible costs directly with the institution concerned.

Two things drive it: how many systems are in scope and how many people we interview. We charge €55 an hour plus VAT; after the first call, when the scope is settled, a flat price is also possible. The report carries no obligation to hire us afterwards: your own team or any other firm can carry out the recommendations.

What decision is on your desk?

Tell us what has to be decided and what is making you hesitate. We will come back with a proposed scope, timeline and fixed fee for the analysis.
