Picture a three-person insurance agency in Konya where policies, client correspondence and WhatsApp Web all share a single desktop. Some weeks back, somebody grabbed a “free” PDF editor from an unknown website. Ever since, searches land on a strange page, betting banners appear at the edge of the screen, and mornings begin with a ten-minute boot. Then a client reports receiving an odd invoice link sent from the agency's own mailbox. By now the real issue is not speed: credentials may have leaked, and the account may be mailing people on an attacker's behalf. We never start by deleting things at random. First we listen to the symptoms and establish what is going on, then we put your data somewhere safe, clean the machine and close whatever gap let the infection in. It is all done remotely. The person at the keyboard opens the session, sees every action and can disconnect whenever they like. Businesses book this service, and so do individuals who need a hand with a home laptop.
Hardware is the first suspect: disk health figures, memory pressure, overheating. Then come startup items, scheduled jobs and years of leftover temporary files. Not every slowdown is malware; sometimes the honest answer is a new SSD, and we will tell you so.
“Adverts keep popping up and searches go elsewhere”
We clear rogue extensions, swapped search providers and site notifications posing as security warnings from Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Most of what users describe as a virus falls into this group.
“Strange emails went out from my account”
Hidden forwarding rules are deleted, unknown sessions in Microsoft 365, Google and WhatsApp Web are signed out, passwords are reset from a trustworthy device, and together we decide what to tell your clients.
“There is a program I never installed”
An offline Microsoft Defender scan that runs before Windows starts, plus a second independent engine. Anything suspicious is quarantined. The source is often a cracked download, and we propose a legal, affordable replacement for it.
“My files will not open and their extensions changed”
That signals ransomware and follows its own procedure: the machine comes off the network but stays powered, and shared folders and other devices are checked. For company devices we weigh up with you whether KVKK requires notifying the Turkish data protection board within 72 hours and whether to alert USOM, the national incident response team.
After the clean-up
Updates are switched on, Defender's ransomware shield protects document folders, internet-sourced Office macros are blocked, daily work moves to a standard account without admin rights, and a regular backup is put in place.
How we approach the job, from first call to handover
Businesses without a contract are billed at €55 per hour plus VAT. Private clients pay from €35 for a remote support session and €45 for every additional hour, VAT included in both.
01
Describe the symptoms
Which device, what you have seen, and for how long. If you suspect malware, turn off Wi-Fi or pull the network cable, yet keep the computer switched on.
02
Connect together
Open the link we send and grant access. During the first half hour we diagnose the machine and copy important files to safety.
03
Decision point
Repair or reinstall from scratch? We give you the time and cost of each route and you choose. Lengthy work is scheduled for hours when the machine is idle.
04
Hardening and handover
Protective settings go in, and a brief report follows: what we found, what changed, boot time in seconds before and after, and whether the device merits further spending.
Never change passwords on the infected computer. If a keylogger or browser credential stealer is running, any new password typed on that machine reaches the attacker within seconds. Change your email and banking passwords from a clean device first, such as your mobile or another computer, and switch on multi-factor sign-in. We then identify which accounts still have live sessions on the infected machine and close them one by one.
Frequently asked questions
The first half hour of diagnosis answers exactly that. Disk health, whether memory is sufficient and what launches at startup usually make the picture clear. If the hardware is the culprit, we say so before you spend hours paying for a clean-up.
Occasionally. A format, though, means reinstalling programs, licences, e-signature drivers, printers and preferences, which on an office PC with accounting software can consume a whole working day. Once diagnosis is done, we set the cost of both routes side by side.
Refuse. Apply never contacts you unprompted asking for remote access. Sessions only begin in response to a request you raised and through a link you open yourself. Please report fake “technical support” approaches to support@apply.tr.
A computer with a working internet connection, roughly an hour of your time and an email to support@apply.tr are all it takes. Sessions start at €35 including VAT, paid upfront by card via a link. On a video call we can also review the apps and account settings on your phone.
We work on programs and settings, never open documents without your consent, and every session is logged. Business clients sign an agreement with us before first access, setting out our obligations as a data processor under KVKK.
How many devices are affected, what are the symptoms and when did they start? We will reply within one working day suggesting a time for a remote session.
Availability Weekdays 09:00-18:00 Turkey time (GMT+3); an answer follows by the next working day
Calls By video, over Microsoft Teams or Google Meet
We have your enquiry
A reply will reach you by the next working day at the latest. If your message says work has come to a halt, it goes to the top of the pile.
Filling the gaps. If we need more information to judge the job, we send questions by email or propose a quick Teams or Google Meet call.
A written quote. It lists the scope, a euro price excluding VAT and a realistic start date. No hidden clauses, no items that appear later.
Your decision. The quote arrives by email. Take whatever time you need, raise questions on any line, and decide when you are ready.
Where are you based?
No such city in our list. Try another spelling, or just pick the closest big city: we work entirely over remote connections, so nothing about the service changes from one province to the next.
The only cookies here are the essential ones: they keep the site running and remember the city you picked. Nothing is used for advertising or tracking. See our privacy notice for more.
